چکیده
About the Course In this course we shall mostly talk and think about numbers, working carefully from definitions. The course will have the following components: 1. Proof and Mathematical Argument 2. Sets, Relations and Functions 3. Construction and Properties of Number Systems 4. Some Number Theory 5. Countability If you wish to read further about various topics covered in this course and related to the course, the following books may be helpful (note that the texts are for further reading and it is certainly not compulsory to buy them). I. Stewart and D. Tall, The Foundations of Mathematics, Oxford University Press, 1977; QA107.S8T2. M. Liebeck, A Concise Introduction to Pure Mathematics, Chapman & Hall/ CRC, 2000; QA8.4L5. H.-D. Ebbinghaus et al., Numbers, Springer-Verlag, New York, 1991; QA241.E3E8. All three books are available on short loan in the Mathematics and Physics Library. The assessment for the course will be by a 2 hour exam in January.

A New Approach to Continuous Riesz Bases
This paper deals with continuous frames and continuous Riesz bases. We introduce continuous Riesz bases and give some equivalent conditions for a continuous frame to be a continuous Riesz basis. It is certainly possible for a continuous frame to have only one dual. Such a continuous frame is called a Riesz-type frame [13]. We show that a continuous frame is Riesz-type if and only if it is a con...
متن کاملOn fuzzy soft connected topological spaces
In this work, we introduce notion of connectedness on fuzzy soft topological spaces and present fundamentals properties. We also investigate effect to fuzzy soft connectedness. Moreover, $C_i$-connectedness which plays an important role in fuzzy topological space extend to fuzzy soft topological spaces.
متن کاملSome new variants of interval-valued Gronwall type inequalities on time scales
By using an efficient partial order and concept of gH-differentiability oninterval-valued functions, we investigate some new variants of Gronwall typeinequalities on time scales, which provide explicit bounds on unknownfunctions. Our results not only unify and extend some continuousinequalities, but also in discrete case, all are new.
متن کاملCommon Neighborhood Graph
Let G be a simple graph with vertex set {v1, v2, … , vn}. The common neighborhood graph of G, denoted by con(G), is a graph with vertex set {v1, v2, … , vn}, in which two vertices are adjacent if and only if they have at least one common neighbor in the graph G. In this paper, we compute the common neighborhood of some composite graphs. In continue, we investigate the relation between hamiltoni...
متن کاملOn cycles in intersection graphs of rings
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with non-zero identity. We describe all $C_3$- and $C_4$-free intersection graph of non-trivial ideals of $R$ as well as $C_n$-free intersection graph when $R$ is a reduced ring. Also, we shall describe all complete, regular and $n$-claw-free intersection graphs. Finally, we shall prove that almost all Artin rings $R$ have Hamiltonian intersection graphs. ...
